Rockford Family Names

In 2000, the Rockford Preservation Society republished a 1972 book by Lucy Hamlin Houck entitled "The Story of Rockford." This invaluable book recounts most the history that we have recounted on this Web site. The book also includes the names of hundreds of people who were a part of community life here as far back as 1789. When the book was republished the RPS added an index of names listed below.

However, we know there are many more people with ties to Rockford. Please add your family name to this list by submitting it through this Web site's "Contact Us" form, and tell us more about your ties, both past and present, to the village. And if you would like to order a copy of "The Story of Rockford" for a suggested donation of $25 or more, just send your request and enclosed check to: The Rockford Preservation Society, 4844 Rockford Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
